The every 90-120 min wakeups are history. The every 3 hr wakeups are gone too. Now I have occasional wakeups at 6 hrs but mostly will sleep 8-9 hrs. I think I am sleeping off the accumulated 'sleep debt' of my 6-month mouth leak detour. I don't know if it's angsting over no job or events at night (hate hate hate having a dumb CPAP) or both, but I still get sleepy during the day and my systolic pressure is up 20 pts. so I'm back taking an ARB again. I still don't breathe as easily as I did on the APAP loaner I had in July and my sleep is not as restful. I'm guessing I am having arousals that fragment my sleep and leave me sleepy in the daytime. Maybe I'll see if I can get the loaner oximeter again for a few nights and see if I'm really desatting or not...if I'm not, it's likely just stress

Sleep doc appealed the denial of an APAP by my insurance company (tell me that's not rationing medical care those of you afraid any changes to the American system might 'create' rationing...we already have it). I'm puzzling over what to do: while I could file a formal appeal in writing, the ins company has 180 days (or some ridiculous number like that) to review the formal appeal in writing but my mini-State COBRA coverage ends in December...I am not a happy camper. As it is, I'll not be covered when they make a final determination so it seems pointless to file an appeal. If I were working, this wouldn't be an issue, I'd just buy the APAP I want and the Nonin recording oximeter too.

Anyway, at least my 6-month wt loss stall has been broken by subbing a high-protein shake for b'fast and 1/2 one for my post-dinner mini-meal-big snack...lost 5.5#s in 6 days. Progress, lost the wt I gained at Dragon*Con.
