Auto Pressure rising While awake

Post by elliejose » Wed Aug 31, 2005 10:46 pm

I medicate, spray, gel, strap down, put my mask on then read awhile every nite before I am ready to go to sleep. Now I have found when I check the pressure on the apap before going to sleep, it may be as high as 14.5. (Aflex set 6 - 16). Can anyone tell me why this may occurr?

Additionally, machine is bad at understanding waking breathing patterns - which are very different from sleep patterns - they confuse it.

Can you get used to hitting the ramp button the a second before or after you turn off the light? That's supposed to bring the machine back down to the minimum you gave it.
