Encore Pro 2

Post by jskinner » Tue Aug 18, 2009 12:33 am

I noticed that a software package called 'Encore Pro 2' is mentioned on the Respironics website. Anyone seen or know anything about this?

That's funny, I saw & went to the Phillips Respironics website myself earlier, I saw it to but no, I don't know anything about it except it's offered to Professionals only, errrr

If your are a "Professional"... where would you go to buy it? Directly from Respironics?

Where did others get 1.8 from?

Supposed to be what it takes to work with the NEW PRi Series that uses a standard SD Memory Card rather than a Smart Card. Have hot heard it will work on the older machines. Since we can't have it we may never find out. Still wating for the advertizement for the new Viewer for the PRI Series!!

Way to go "Respironics", Now that USB 2.0 has become the main standard on all good PC's, Tie your tail to SD Cards instead. Our faith in your wisdom is rewarding in it's self. We couldn't get most DMe and Doctors to master a card reader, now they will have to retrain to use a SD card reader. It's a good choice you didn't go with USB, they couldn't have taken that learning curve. Jim

I have to believe that new versions of Encore Pro will be backwards compatible with older machines. Otherwise the DMEs and Doctors will have to have multiple versions of Encore Pro.

I think it's time for someone to come up with a list of what machine needs which version of (windows or Encore) software before this gets even more out of hand.

Unfortunately, all I can help with is M Series needs Encore Pro 1.8.49 compatible w/XP or Vista. But older versions of Encore Pro will not work on Vista.

oh but I will bet my wife on the backwards BS not happening.

oh, your ex?

tanks except for bipap auto need 1.4 (maybe even earlier version of EP)

bipap auto tank needs 1.5 - 1.5 needs XP at least but some might get it to work with 2000

m series except for aflex machine need 1.6 - this also needs XP but again some might get it to work with 2000

aflex machine needs 1.8

vista needs 1.8

Viewer will work with all machines through the aflex apap and also with vista and XP but not previous OS i don't believe ------

what else your highness?

oh 1.7 wasn't released in the US afaik but was in european market

More out of hand? I didn't know it was currently out of hand?

You may loose that bet. To date all versions of Encore Pro have been backwards compatible.
