Interesting. UARS was noted on my first study as well. I've taken Claritin for years, in the morning, from way back when it was still an Rx for allergies. I quite taking it a few months ago in an attempt to find the cause of my insomnia. I'm taking the structured methodical approach (as opposed to a shotgun approach) to finding a cause/solution.mcduff wrote:Hi Rustyolddude,
wow, your problem seems similar to mine. My perception of what is a good night and a bad night seem to differ with the results from my apap reports. I have been toying with the idea that I am suffering from UARS and events that occur force me out of sleep before registering as anything on the machine (or in my sleep study for that matter). However I do drink a lot of aspartame. I'll cut that out right away! Here is an example of what some might consider a good night (from the report) however from my point of view it wasn't anywhere near good. I woke up just too many times.
I am however finding some relief taking a Claratyn before bed every night following this guys advice http://www.uarsrelief.com/sales.html. I haven't actually purchased his ebook yet because I haven't had time to rationally consider whether he is taking me for a ride or not. I'm also pretty sure that sleeping on my back makes things way worse.
I have a good F&P apap and I fiddle with the settings with impunity. Drubin007 passed me the software to read my data stick. It's priceless.

Regarding the link you posted regarding a PM Claritin, Dr. Falcon posts here under the user name of Falcon1, you can search back & read his posts, he's a respected member of this board. Once I nail down the insomnia issue, I'll probably give the evening Claratin a try, I'll have to when allergy season cranks up again.
Both my my PSG's look like barcodes going from N1 to N3
I don't want to get all worked up over aspartame, maybe it's an issue for me and maybe not. Millons of other folks have no problem, likewise PKU is a genetic disorder and it only stands to reason that there might exist a small segment of the population that has a sensitivity to aspartame, it's all a guess for me right now.
I'll say this much, my Doc. has no idea what's coming in two weeks, I'll probably have a ream of documents & data along with a multiple choice & essay question test for him
