rude techs

Post by sadiejh » Wed Jul 08, 2009 2:27 pm

Mark just ordered accessories for his CPAP w/o A/C so he can use it on his trip to Africa next month.

The female operator was heard saying under her breath "Oh my God".

Wonder if she was having an out of body experience...or was she just a rude #*#*&

As a Director of Nursing...if one of my staff did this to a client there would have been severe reprocussions...

Amazing what people think they can get away with...she needs a job that does not deal with people.

Did it possibly occur to either of you that she said what she did because she was surprised the patient and machine were off to Africa (and maybe wished she could go too)? I've never had anyone there be rude to me and in fact, there have been times when I could have been construed as being at least close to rudeness, and never got attitude back. Or she could even have been responding to something she saw in the next room, and was completely unaware you'd heard her.

I'd give her the benefit of the doubt, she may have seen a bug crawling on her desk The few telephone contacts I've had with cpap.com were very helpful and polite.

My first thought was that it was about something going on in HER world and not yours.....bug on desk theory.

I think this is a situation of ---you had to have been there ---on the receiving end of the conversation.

The tone of the whole conversation supports a no bug theory.

Mark did not mention Africa. Just said he would be somewhere that did not have AC outlets readily available.

Wonder if they play back conversations for QA purposes... this would be one to discuss how not to speak over the phone.

Glad to hear the rest of you have had positive experiences.
