I don't have 'in network' on cpap supply reimbursement. My insurance covers 90% after my deductible is met. Keep in mind, the 90% is 90% of what they think it should cost, so it may be a little more or a little less than what cpap.com charges, but ALOT less than my old DME (ie $1729 for a Respironics M Series Pro)Muse-Inc wrote:Hey Kevin, recommend you verify that cpap.com is 'in-network' for your insurance provider. Johnny's not for mine *sigh*.

Re: Against Medical Advice?!?!
...........not to beat a dead horse, but.......
AMA documents a patient has discontinued recommeded diagnosis/treatment and is notified of financial responsibility for services rendered, notification insurance may not pay for AMA's and patient will be reponsible for costs)...if DME employs clinical staff such as RT....RT might document patient has returned CPAP machine, patient advised they are not complying with MD orders (ie, having CPAP at pressure to use nightly), physican is notified of patient's return of equipment. Purpose of AMA documentation is to document patient refused medical services and is notified of personal payment responsibility. There are insurances companies/plans with policy of nonpayment for AMA discharges of care.
Glad things went smoothly for you............I suppose DME's are not crazy about clients returning the rent to own type of equipment......but if enough are returned perhaps patient/customers may have at least as much information as provided by used car deal's or a good lemon law be granted to DME's for equipment decision making and sells!!!!!

Re: Against Medical Advice?!?!
I suspect the DME is a bit dissatisfied that they now own a used machine that is not paid for since you cut short the lease period.
ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet / F&P Simplex / DME: VA
It's going to be okay in the end; if it's not okay, it's not the end.

Re: Against Medical Advice?!?!
The DME will just hand that used Respironics machine to the next uneducated newbie to walk through the door.
