Hi All,
I have finally obtained a copy of the ResMed ResScan 3.7 software.
But I am having trouble connecting to my CPAP Machine (ResMed S8 Autoset II).
I am using the USB Cable to connect directly to my laptop. I am not using a card reader.
The install of the ResScan software went fine as did the installation of the USB driver.
When I tried to download data ResScan said no Flow Generator was found.
Originally I thought it was a driver problem since I am running Vista 64 on my laptop.
So I installed ResScan and the driver on my wife’s Windows XP laptop. Same result.
Based on the same problem with both computers, could it be a setting in the CPAP machine itself?
I have searched all the posts on the forum and have no idea what to try next.
Do any of you use ResScan 3.7 with the USB Cable?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark

Re: My CPAP won't talk to me (ResScan Issue)
The only way I can get my setup to work is to plug in the blower to my computer and have the blower on and connected through USB while I power up my Windows XP desktop computer. Then when I bring up ResScan, it finds the blower. Otherwise, it does not.

Back in the old days, when I used a S7 and a null-modem serial cable, the machine had to be powered-on for data transfer.
Is that required now with S8 and the USB cable?

Thanks jnk - I gave it a try. No luck.jnk wrote:The only way I can get my setup to work is to plug in the blower to my computer and have the blower on and connected through USB while I power up my Windows XP desktop computer. I called Resmed. After 10 minutes on hold the Software support tech said they he can not help me because I am a patient. The software is intended for clinicians not patients.
Now what?
