AFlex is the newer exhalation relief feature that the Respironics machines offer.
CFlex is older. those machines offer only CFlex
AFlex auto CPAP units will let you choose either AFlex or CFlex

Check out Respironics web site for further explanation

When buying online from a private seller (such as on CL), just use plenty of common sense. Protect your purchase as much as possible.

As others have said, get the name, address and/or telephone number of the seller. If anything about the transaction or the seller strikes you as "fishy," listen to your instincts and keep searching. There are plenty of machines available on CL, so don't feel like you're stuck dealing with someone who doesn't seem forthright or honest.

My advice is to pay for the item with a credit card, via PayPal. Sellers like PayPal because they get their money instantly. And buyers like PayPal because it offers a measure of buyer protection. Between the credit card and PayPal, you'll give yourself two levels of buyer protection and two sources through which to lodge a complaint and get your money back, if need be.

My own buying experience went very well, thankfully. I asked questions of several sellers advertising machines on CL, and I passed many of them by if they didn't respond to my email or responded with anything less than a straightforward answer. Listen to your gut, protect your purchase as much as you can, and go find a great deal. They're out there.
Veni, vidi, Velcro. I came, I saw, I stuck around.

With help of Pugsy, looks like I've scored me an APAP unit. YEAHHH>...... Awesome

I think I'll keep my Remstar Pro 2 w/Cflex as a backup though. This is good news for me because I don't know if my pressure is right or nothing, I've totally just been "winging" it with no software or anything. Thanks Pugsy and the forum members here, awesome and helpful group.
