I'm off to South America this summer for a few weeks, and am wondering if folks could suggest the best light and compact machine for travel. I normally use a Respironics M Series machine, which is bigger and heavier than I'd ideally like to carry. I could leave the humidifier at home I suppose, a cut the bulk in half, but not sure I could tolerate it well.
Thoughts???

Not sure you should sacrifice your humidifier unless you've tried out your cpap without the humidifier, in similar conditions to your destination. Check out the Aeiomed Everest 2. It is remarkably lightweight, compact, and easy to carry with both the stacked humidifier tank and battery. I've loved having it for travel.
DeVilbiss IntelliPap Std Plus with Smartflex; Transcend miniCPAP & Everest2 w/humidifier & batt for travel. UltraMirage FFM; PadACheeks; PaPillow. Using straight CPAP at 13.0/passover humidifier. AHI consistently < 1.5. Began CPAP 9/4/08.

The IntelliPAP with humidifier is a very compact package.
