Thanks for all the suggestions and advice about the two different options!! I'm still not sure which I'm going to go with I think it will come down to which one works better when I try it out. For now I'm trying out a chin strap and seeing how that works...not too good last night will post about that in a bit. I truly think it's going to come down to a FF mask and it's going to have to be one with nasal pillows and not a nasal bridge to it, my nose just can't take anything on the bridge of it. My DME as great as they are and as wonderful as the RT that I always work with is, doesn't think either the Liberty or Hybrid are all that great. She said that she hasn't had much success with either with her patients/clients but she's willing to let me try if the chin strap doesn't work out (which I don't think it will). And when I try out a mask I really give it a good try. I lay down with a pillow and roll around with it, with pressure on, to see exactly how it feels as if I were sleeping! Thanks again!!

Well the chin strap DID NOT work so now I'm going with the Liberty. I slept pretty well last night. Didn't wake up too much because of it, so that was a plus. I haven't checked my machine yet today so I don't know how much my leak rate went up or down or my AHI went up or down. HOpefully both went down. With the chin strap on the AHI had went up and without the chin strap the leak rate went up. Lose/lose situation I was in. My DME at first wanted me to try a completely full face mask, over the bridge of my nose full face mask but I convinced her to let me try the Liberty because I felt so comfortable with the Swift LT nasal pillows. The Liberty was comfortable last night. It didn't hurt at all, didn't leave any marks on my face (good thing!) and sealed well. I think overall it went well wearing it for the first time. I don't feel completely refreshed this morning but I think that's because my AHI had went up over the past two weeks and I wasn't getting a very good sleep, so my sleep is still out of whack. Eventually I'll get this straightened out, I really will!! My GP gave me Provigil to take and I've been avoiding them like the plague. I want this CPAP to work and to be the thing that wakes me up every day, not some pill. So here's to hoping this new mask is the key to it all.
