What position(s) do you sleep in?

I saw this ( http://www.contourliving.com/p-71-conto ... illow.aspx ) at an AWAKE meeting and was impressed that some designers have given CPAPers a lot of thought. It looked like it might help many side sleepers.

Rooster
CPAP pillows: Come with holes to through money into.
Rooster, We bought this one early on, Mike's a side sleeper, there is no way anyone can sleep on that! We were lucky our local medical supply store refunded the $$. He's using the SleePapPillow now and it's OK but he winds up sleeping on just the narrow elbow that juts out for the neck rest rather than on the curved part. Hope you can picture it. He also uses the ChiroFlow water pillow but can't seem to find just the right water level to prevent leaks. The pillow situation seems to be our last hurdle. BTW, He's a very restless sleeper and in case you're interested, I'm not!

Used it for a number of years before starting this therapy and like my machine, I can't sleep without it.

Den, I may have asked you before, but what water level do you use? Soft,Medium,Firm? We can't seem to get it where it doesn't bump the mask. Would softer be better than firmer or the opposite? Otherwise, it's a great pillow and well made. It would be our pillow of choice if we could find the right adjustment. Thanks, Dori

Holy crap! If I was a side-sleeper, I would have thrown away 60 bucks on one of those. Thanks for the warning. I have enough damn CPAP pillows dry rotting in the closet.

I have a vision that we will figure out an easy way to ensure that children develop wide, deep, healthy and attractive jaws and then obstructive sleep apnea becomes an obscure bit of history.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ycw4uaX ... re=related

I really like my down pillows. I use two, one lapped over the edge of the other. I fluff them up before I get into bed and put them in a kinda chris-cross position. I lay my head in the middle of the X. "C" you later, Jan
Hmm, we have down pillows also, we may try that. As you can see, we could open up a pillow store.

the amazing memory foam slice and dice pillow.

YMMV
CB, Ah, how well I remember those photos and how scared I was to slice and dice! I wound up using a carving knife instead and that foam pillow worked great for awhile but I think the regular pillowcase interfered and it felt too hot. Dori

Well, it was done "by guess and by golly"....... My wife put the water in it and then we let out some of the water until it seemed to be the right height for my side-sleeping posture to keep things in alignment. It's not real soft but is sort of firm and will hold an indentation for my head (shape-able to some degree).

The thing I like about it is that my head doesn't sink into it to the point where the ends of the pillow push my mask off my face. I still get an occasional Large Leak, but it's not the fault of the pillow and I never know about them until I look at my reports.

Life's a bowl of cherries. What are you doing in the pits?

Hope your Chiroflow is on time!
It was! I've now used it for two nights, and I have to say I like it.
