LOL!! The RT who was scheduled to bring me the Intellipap auto just arrived -- WITHOUT THE MACHINE!!!

He thought he was coming to help me learn how to use it and how to get my data from the computer. And he drove about 30 miles in a downpour.

He may be back later today -- or tomorrow morning. <sigh> Good thing I can laugh about it.

I'm glad you're keeping a good attitude and can laugh about it. Were you able to explain what you really needed from him?
Masks I've tried but didn't like :
FlexiFit HC405 - couldn't stop the leaks

He said he'd be back with the Intellipap Auto which is what his boss promised me yesterday.

Although I started out wanting the ResMed that so many of you have, I am perfectly happy with the abilities of this machine. I've just been reading the comments from the challenge in which this came out as the winner. Looks like I'll be doing okay.

All for the same price? Or, are they going to try to tack on an extra charge for the Auto?

Hang in there. Try to take comfort in the knowledge that you're not the first one to be in the position you've been in......fighting for a better machine. (these forum pages are filled with the others who have waged that battle before you)

RT from DME just left, leaving behind a nice shiny new DV54 AutoAdjust CPAP Series w/ heated humidifier!!!

And the best thing -- he set if for APAP (range 5-20) even though my doc and ins co said that there was no medical need for auto PAP! The Rx was for CPAP w/ straight pressure of 7.

I was surprised that during my brief test the exhale pressure was more obvious than I had anticipated -- but sure it is something I will get used to soon.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, my wonderful forum friends. I had a few stumbles, but I believe I have a very good machine, and I look forward to many, many restful nights of sleep!

Congratulations!

When you get a chance, update your equipment in the User Control Panel to show us what all you got.

make sure you are logged in - go up to top left side of page
select Control Panel
Profile tab
Edit equipment
change How would you like your equipment displayed from Image to Text
Select Submit
All those pictures look alike

Double check to be sure it matches exactly what is written across the top of your machine and you select the correct equipment and mask. The make & model of the mask are on a tag on the back of the Headgear and in the included brochures.

Indicating your pressure and leak rate is also very useful.

Congrats

Right on, Lanndi!!! Good going! While this IntelliPAP AutoAdjust may not give you an overnight miracle, the worst, the biggest hurdle, is now behind you and you are on your way to some GOOD, RESTFUL sleep!!!! After all this the acclimation should be a piece of cake no matter how long it takes.
