I had an appointment with my sleep doc today and he reviewed my Encore Pro reports.
He told me that people who do not have sleep apnea will normally have an AHI up to 5.0. That is considered "normal". If your AHI is not at least 15, they will not even consider treating you for sleep apnea.
Not sure if everyone knew that, so I thought I'd pass it on.

Tidbit of AHI info
Thank goodness there are doctors out there who do not go by these "rules" and take into consideration other parts of the sleep study, like )2 desat rates, lack of stage 3/4 sleep, or REM, frequent awakenings, etc. There is, experts know, a lot more to diagnosing sleep apnea than just the AHI

Wow. Interesting. I had only a 4 HI and a zero OAI at my first sleep study with a 14.something PLDM average, but moderate oxygen desats. My AHI now never has gone over a 1.2 since as long as I can remember, averaging usually 0.1-0.5. I need to talk to someone to see what is going on with me...
