question for osij or others about 420 humidifer.

Post by seagull » Thu Aug 18, 2005 4:31 pm

Do you think the humidifer I got is defective. I see and feel the tray that goes down, but mine slides straight out. I remember Janelle I think it was who said it was a little difficult to remove at first!!!
Thanks to all who stood up for me. I would love to work at Consumers Report!!!
I will report again AFTER I use the machine, but I still need help figuring out why I had no results after last night on software.
It just comes up blank, and says compliance off.
Uh, oh, maybe IT doesn't like ME!!

I have the 420 humidifier and my water tray slides right out so I don't think that your humidifier is broken. Has the water gone down when you have had it on for a night? If it does, then it is working.

Yes, the water evaporated. It is working. I have to push down tray to get in in, but not out. Thanks.

Seagull, my humidifier was difficult to slide out in the beginning, and still need some combination of push press and whatnot in order to be brought out entirely - though it does have some play when it's inside.

I think you're doing something wrong in your attempt to read the data.
When the Silverlining is connected to the 420E, and the 420E management program has opened, you've go to press the black squarish icon to get the data.

As I told you yesterday - compliance will be off. SL will start reading data from the machine, open a ruler windows that gradually fills up with blue, do that twice, and the switch you to the data.

If you press the little black question mark on the sl3 screen, you'll get a choice of intruction manuals to read from Select 420E. Go to page 42.
