Re: Encore Pro Analyzer for 64bit Windows
I'm able to access and use the program now ... but ...
I can't print anything directly from EPA.
I have to do a "Save As" ... then print the copy from the Windows photo program.
Is everyone else printing directly from EPA?
Thanks,
Jan

You need to right click and then go into properties. Then select the tab 'Compatibility' and select the 'run as an Administrator'
When you select the 'Run as Administrator' from the right click menu its just for that single execution.
If Encore Pro creates its own user name and password for the DB, could you write into your install code a method to log into MSSQL as admin, create a new user and password, assign that user permissions for the Encore Pro DB and then use that user/pass combination in the continued setup for EPA? Would that work? Wouldn't that bypass the need to even know the original username and password used by Encore Pro?

I did install a previous version of EPA. Prior to installing ver 0.9 of EPA, I did an uninstall using control panel of the version I had installed, then installed the newest version of EPA. The funny thing is after the install, the desktop shortcut was in an identical location as the previous install, and the settings to run as administrator were already there, on both the file and the shortcut. Perhaps there's some stuff left in the Registry that needs to be cleaned out?

Yes I thought about that approach. Its probably the best solution. Now I just need to write the codeDreamDiver wrote:could you write into your install code a method to log into MSSQL as admin, create a new user and password, assign that user permissions for the Encore Pro DB and then use that user/pass combination in the continued setup for EPA? I apologize for re-posting the same question ...
But I'm still trying to understand if everyone else is printing directly from EPA ... while I'm not able to do so.
Would someone please respond?
Thank you.

I'm using version 0.8.9, and I have no trouble printing to any printer on my system. Perhaps your install is corrupted?janp wrote:I apologize for re-posting the same question ...

Nothing happens in either print, copy or refresh.
I have to use the "save as" in order to save an image that I can print using the Windows photo program that came with Vista 64 (Home Premium).
A bit of a long process.
I'm sensing that it should print from the print function?
Why wouldn't it?
Thanks,
Jan

Yep that why I put a print button therejanp wrote:I'm sensing that it should print from the print function?
There may be a problem printing on 64bit, I'll test it when I get a chance.

James,
Thank you ... I appreciate your taking the time to check out the "non-printing" issue.
I don't know if others running Vista 64 might be having the same problem or not ... there really wasn't a direct response other than yours when I posted the question about the printing. Or maybe most will review the data without printing it?
I wonder if using EP 1.8.69 and 64 bit with EPA .9 could be the issue (although 1.8.69 is supposed to be 64 bit compatible). Rocketdork seems to have a problem with EPA .9, is running EP 1.8.69 ... and I'm running the same version of EP?
Again, my thanks.

James,
Thank you ... at least now I know that I didn't do something wrong.
Being a Windows "idiot" ... that happens much too often.
I hope you'll have the time to work out a solution.
Regards,
Jan

Hi James,
At your Encore Pro Analyzer website, on that page of Sample Charts, there is one of Apnea Hypopena Index vs Pressure How do you run this one from your Analyzer (the regular old 32 bit version)? I seem to have a blind spot on locating the manu Or perhaps is this is a left over from Derek's old program, which was never updated in your version?

Its in the pressure menu. Pressure->AHIfeeling_better wrote:At your Encore Pro Analyzer website, on that page of Sample Charts, there is one of Apnea Hypopena Index vs Pressure How do you run this one from your Analyzer
While I modeled EPA after Derek's program they share no code.feeling_better wrote:Or perhaps is this is a left over from Derek's old program, which was never updated in your version?
