is it posssible to use Remstar Plus without the humidifier attached? I live in Fl and have no use for and on top of that the tank leaks anyway. The problem I have is that my hose won't fit into machine itself,It needs an adapter.

Is your machine the one in your profile or the m series?

For the one in your profile you take off the little plastic gasket to put a hose on it.

For the m series there is a gasket you need. You should have been given one by the DME when you got the machine.

I actually have used my pro 2 and apap (same design as your plus) with the humidifier empty and unplugged (just put it on the base and have the cord plugged into the cpap not the base). I find the empty humidifier actually buffers the sound slightly.

Experiment and see what is best for you.

I'm not even gonna try to guess which model it is. If the chamber leaks water it WILL leak pressure too. Get the DME to repair or replace it BEFORE you need it again.

After I first got my HC150, I left the humidifier attached but empty. Mainly because I knew I was going to be using it again soon....but when I came back from that trip, I took the humidifier off. Now its quiet enough that I failed to notice that I had failed to turn it off one morning (guess I overreached and hit ramp)....

But, later I've thought that maybe I should put it back on....since integrated humidifier status shows up in my compliance report, but not the HC150....though don't think they should care...
