How to Post Encore Pro Data on the Board (Win XP, Vista)

This might be helpful as a sticky...feel free to add to it and especially add how to do it on a Mac.

Having recently figured out by trial and error how to do this, I thought a concise summary of this procedure might be helpful. I assume the same procedure would work with the Encore Pro Viewer as well.

This sounds more complicated than it is, once you do it one or two times it is very easy.

From within Encore Pro (or Encore Viewer):

From the report view, click File, PDF Export.

Save your report as a pdf in a place on your hard drive that you can remember. Change the name so that it includes the date.

Next, double click on the pdf file you just exported.

This will open Adobe Reader. Now go to Tools, Select and Zoom, Snapshot tool. This will bring up a x shaped cursor.

Left click and move the cursor over the area you want to copy. Release the click and that area will be copied to your clipboard.

(If you use Foxit Reader it is just Tools, Snapshot, and follow the same procedure. )

Now open the Paint application that came with your computer. Click on the empty white page, and use Control-V or Paste to paste the clipboard image into Paint. Now Save As and select the jpg extension. Once again, save somewhere you can remember.

Go to Photobucket.com, and open an account. Log into your account, and Click Choose Files from the front page Upload Images and Video. If you want to upload multiple files, use the bulk uploader.

Once you have uploaded a jpg picture, when you hover your mouse over the image, you will see links below it. Select the IMG code link, highlight it, use Control-C to copy it to the clipboard.

Now make your post, and where you want the Encore Pro chart to go, use Control-V (paste) to paste in the IMG link. This will automatically link to the jpg on Photobucket, and will show up in your post.

Tips: Change the name in your copy of Encore Pro to your first name, or a pseudonym, or every page will show your full and real name.

You can also change the size of the picture on Photobucket if it doesn't show up right in your post.

I do a 'ctrl =print screen' and paste the copied image into a jpeg (using irfanview, a free jpeg viiewer - I then crop it and thats it.
