EUREKA! Holy Epiphany Batman!

Post by rogelah » Fri May 15, 2009 5:39 am

Night number three. What a difference! With EPR turned on I was able to relax instead of fighting the exhale pressure. I actually slept albeit in 2 hr. increments. Finally at 4:30 am I couldn't get back to sleep even though I wanted to sleep more. It finally dawned on me that my sleep pattern is screwed up and xPAP can't solve that problem. I definitely need to consult with the sleep doc.

Regarding humidification, the menu says it's H3i while the actual humidifier says H4i. Any collective insight? Also I turned off the machine, removed the mask and in a minute or so the fan started howling. I had the humidifier turned off using the settings dial on the humidifier. Yesterday it ran for over an hour but I had been using the humidifier and expected that according to the book. Is this normal?

I believe the S8 Elite IIs were built before the H4i was even a sparkle in the designer's eye -- so there's really no way for H4i to exist in its menu options.

Give your cpap more time... OSA causes extremely messed-up, disorganized sleep.
Glad to hear your therapy is going well.
