Removed mask ...... (small funny)

Post by GrumpyGurl » Thu May 14, 2009 1:25 pm

You people are so great on here that, well, you practically have me brainwashed. Persuaded, dragged kicking and....well, not screaming, but complaining; I have been almost fully indoctrinated into your world of CPAP.

I have been very compliant with my mask wearing, even though there have been a couple of rough nights. Last night I went to sleep with my mask on and after about 2 hours finally made it to a full sleep. Somewhere in the night, I removed my mask. Out of the depths of a murky, deep sleep, I could here this small voice. The voice seemed to swirl slowly up from the dark well of my sleep, increasing in size and volume, as it struggled to invade my numb sleeping mind.......in a strangled whisper the voice said "must.....put......on.......mask".

At that point I sat straight up, mostly awake, fumbling for the mask and thinking to myself, I guess I am serious about this; even my subconscious is making me put the mask on!

It's great that you're thinking that way. It can be very weird at the beginning, but it gets better. Hang in there.

WELCOME HOME!

I have been doing this almost 10 years. I fell asleep the other night watching the news and woke up like... bolt upright... hands clawing over my nightstand searching for "my precioussssssss" heheheh... like a little kid with a security blanket... something.

Anyways... welcome to the loyal order of the hoseheads.

OK...in your best Arnold Schwarzenegger(Predator) voice.....

"If you want to live, put on your mask, NOW!"
"If your therapy is improving your health but you're not doing anything
to see or feel those changes, you'll never know what you're capable of."
I said that.
