HELP! New machine

Post by drowsydriver » Wed May 13, 2009 1:09 pm

I just switched over to a new machine today a sleepstyle 200 Auto by Fisher & Paykel. I was futzing with the buttons to see if there was going to be a way to look at AHI and I changed the pressure settings. I do not want to call my resp. therapist and tell her this. (Long story). Does anyone have any info. on the 200? I was able to find the 600 but it's not an Auto. Man, I have messed up.

thanks,
d

If you aren't already a member of the Forum, you might want to register. (It's free.)

Filling out your profile help us help you. It also saves you from having to tell us what machine you have everytime, and cuts back on us having to ask you before we can answer your questions. Once registered,

1. Look for the User Control Panel, just below the Search box, which is, in turn, just below the CPAPTALK.Com logo.

2. Click on the tab just below the black User Control which says, "Profile."

3. Look to the left, and click on the bar which says, "Edit Equipment."

4. Fill in your equipment, and select "Text" as the display method.

This will help us help you... I don't know anything about the Sleepstyle 200... is it a data capable machine? Do you have the card reader and software for your machine?

It is data capable but no, I don't have a card reader or software. The doctor is switching me from a Remstar auto m series to this because I've been so fatigued even on cpap or autopap. It's all very frustrating. I'm still falling asleep at the wheel and my AHI was normal the whole time I was on Remstar but he is switching my machine. It actually ticks me off that they lock the data up and I was trying to get into the clinicians menu so I could see the AHI and leak rates, but apparently it's not as easy to do on this machine and I can't find any clinician set up information anywhere . Am I rambling, because I feel like I am.

I honestly think I'm dealing with narcolepsy as well as sleep apnea.

Anyway, maybe I didn't even change the pressure on the machine, although I think I did. My range is supposed to be 6-16 and when I was playing with it and had the mask on, it was dipping down to 5.7 and 5.8. Don't think it should be doing that.
