Janelle...? about Stage 3 and 4

Post by yawn » Sun Aug 14, 2005 8:42 pm

Hi Janelle,
You've mentioned that sleep stages 3 & 4 are vital for "refreshing" a person that is sleeping. I was looking at my studies and wanted to know if my numbers are good or bad...Can you help me?
During the 1st study, I was in Stage 3: 14.8% and Stage 4: 0.2% and REM was 18.3%
During the titration study, I was in Stage 3: 7.9% and Stage 4: 8% and REM was 15.9%
Are these good numbers? Is seems to me that my Stage 3 sleep dropped significantly, my stage 4 increased significantly and my REM dropped about 2.4%. I don't have a clue what these numbers mean.

thanks
Amy
