O.T. - Searching Within a Post
I searched the board but couldn't find anything on this particularly. Since the board isn't broken up into forums, and isn't likely to be, it would be great if you could search within a particular post, especially multiple page posts.

The Forum's Advanced Search function is also useful for this.

I have no doubt, how I sleep affects every waking moment.
I am making progress-NOW I remember that I can't remember

If this isn’t rocket science why are there so many spaceshots?

Re: O.T. - Searching Within a Post
You can, Tattooyu.
Select "Advanced search" just to the right of "search tags," above. Put the exact words of the post's subject line inside quotation marks in the first box (it's labeled Search for Keywords) and hit Enter. When that search is completed, you can narrow your search within that thread by putting whatever you're looking for in the "search these results" box, using quotation marks if there are two or more words. That should get it for you.
To give you an example, I looked at the posts in one of the other threads to find some target word, then ran an advanced search on the thread's subject line ("what to do for dry skin?"). That search said there were ten posts. Then I put "olay" in the "search these results" box and determined that two of the posts in that thread made reference to Oil of Olay.
Please let us know if that procedure doesn't work for your needs. Give us the particulars, and maybe I or someone else will be able to help.

Thanks, Marsha. I forgot about that route. I just wish there was a search bar when viewing a post for quick searching.

find in edit (browser) works great if you are looking for a particular word on a page
if you know the author you can use advanced search for all posts with a particular word by that author - you can even use several words by a particular author -
if I know the author I might go to all their posts then start screening things down word by word

This isn't quite what you were asking about, tattooyu, and the others gave good suggestions for using the message board's "advanced search" and "Edit - Find (or Search.)"
But this is pretty cool -- a trick picked up from blarg and CollegeGirl:
In Google, type in the words you want to search for, like songbird's example -- Oil of Olay.
Type it into Google this way:
oil of olay site:cpaptalk.com
Brings up Google links to individual posts on cpaptalk.com that mentioned "Oil of Olay."
Be sure to run all that last part together with no spaces.
