FULL FACE MASK RECOMENDATION PLEASE

Right now im using the mirage ultra but my mouth leaks alott and my chin strap really does not help. Ive tried tapi ng but wake up with dry mouth still. Only option is full face mask.
Re: FULL FACE MASK RECOMENDATION PLEASE
Hello, if you get time you might want to fill in your profile. Now I like the Hybrid mask as it does not sit on the bridge of the nose. I have also tried the Liberty but could not get a good fit. It is going to be what ever you like and feels the best for you.

Re: FULL FACE MASK RECOMENDATION PLEASE
You just might be a person who wakes up with a dry mouth np matter what you use, like me . If you like the Ultra Mirage then you could try the Ultra Mirage Full Face, which is kinda the same mask just larger so it extends below your lips. I think the sizing guide on CPAP.com is fairly close. You can also call Resmed and ask them for their actual sizing guide. They never sent one when I called, but maybe you will have better luck. Masks are tricky to get right, each person's face is different enough to make it an individual selection, so what is perfect for one can be a nightmare for the next. The best place I know for low cost masks is cpapauction.com. Use some care, I would be wary of buying from someone with little or no history, but I have bought and sold on there without getting burned. Hope you find what you need.

Re: FULL FACE MASK RECOMENDATION PLEASE
I just spent 3 mo.s with a mask that was a size to big for me. It's a real pain. I also had no directions on how to use it right. What I'm saying is, make sure you get the right mask in the right size, maybe get fitted for it. It could cost you more in the long run to chance something your not sure of with a "cheap deal" Just my $.02 worth. Thanks, Larry...

Howdy zalez27,
You've got some good advice on this thread already, but I'd like to fill in to make sure you know all your options. Here are the top selling CPAP masks on CPAP.com, the percentages are the share of total and the prices are average prices paid during the time period:
https://www.cpap.com/cpap-user-preference.php ("scroll down to Full Face Masks Brand Line Preference - Top 5 over Q2 (Apr-Apr 26, 2009)")
Here are the top 3 four full face masks by CPAP.com customer reviews:
$155.00 Mirage Quattro Full Face CPAP Mask with Headgear
$139.00 Ultra Mirage Full Face CPAP Mask with Headgear
$107.00 FlexiFit HC431 Full Face CPAP Mask with Headgear - All Cushions (S, M, L) Included
$89.99 Zzz-Mask Full Face CPAP Mask with Headgear
Here are the top four ranked chinstraps by CPAP.com customer reviews:
$39.95 Original Deluxe Chinstrap
$18.99 CPAP.com Deluxe Chinstrap
$24.70 Premium Chinstrap
$15.95 Sullivan Chinstrap
Here is an enrollment form for Product Challenge 9, which will be testing the Respironics Premium Chinstrap against the Resmed Sullivan Chinstrap:
https://www.cpaptalk.com/productchallen ... .php?id=16
If you are using a Premium Chinstrap now and want to try a Sullivan on the house, this is a very cost effective (free!) way. If you are selected, you simply owe honest feedback about both at the end of the trial.
Good luck and keep fighting. CPAPtalk can solve this problem with you!

I can recommend the new Fisher&Paykal Forma, I have been using it for the last 2 weeks and have nothing but positive things to say about it.

If you aren't already a member of the Forum, you might want to register. Filling out yosur profile help us help you. Once registered,
1. Look for the User Control Panel, just below the Search box, which is, in turn, just below the CPAPTALK.Com logo.
2. Click on the tab just below the black User Control which says, "Profile."
3. Look to the left, and click on the bar which says, "Edit Equipment."
4. Fill in your equipment, and select "Text" as the display method.
Full face masks are useful in their place. I found the Zzz-mask, after some fiddling, worked for me when I had my respiratory infection. But I still needed a chin support.

Re: FULL FACE MASK RECOMENDATION PLEASE
After trying just about every mask on the market I finally have a combination that works for me. The Hans Rudolph V2 and a chin strap finally stopped my jaw drop which led to dry mouth. If you go for the V2 make sure you measure carefully as they do seem to run larger than normal, I ended up with a size small and am not a little guy.
Good luck in your search.

At the above link are 3 other links that discuss how to change the pressure. See if one of the links helps with your machine.

Re: FULL FACE MASK RECOMENDATION PLEASE
Hi, as a Newbie, should I be offering advice? But, if it is of any help to you, I suggest two things, and the first is that you should have a Humidifier on your CPAP, and in regards to the Full Face Mask which I currently use, it is a Fisher-Paykell 432, and I have found it to be the most suitable for myself. Only complaint I would have about it is that the bridge of my nose sometimes gets very sore. Otherwise, above all other masks I have tried, this is the best one I can suggest. I do hope that you find this useful.
