OT...I want to get my wife a new phone.

You should hold off on the iPhone. All the latest signs point to a new one this summer, and it's gonna be good! The camera will be better and there will be voice recognition, according to the gossip. It will also have more video functions..and lots more.
I really have loved mine. I have a great case ..www.senacases.com, that works well. I keep it in my pocket.
Oh, and I just downloaded the "sleep analyzer app" today! Both me and my husband have apnea. I'm on treatment and he's not, so I can't wait to let him hear his "disruptions"!! I'll bet he'll be making a bee line for the machine when he hears what a racket he makes..
