Folks The pulsating devices are so much better than the neti pots or squeeze bottles which if done incorrectly can actually cause ear infections. The mechanical devices not only use less pressure but are more effective because of the intermittent flow kind of like a mini jack hammer but without the pressure. The pulsation helps to restore the nasal cilia which manual irrigation methods won't do and helps to break down the biofilm which has been shown in virtually all cases of chronic sinusitis and is the breeding ground of bacteria. For those of us that are using CPAP it is so important to not only moisturize but to restore ciliary function. The reason water piks are so effective on your gums is they remove bacteria and promote the production of white blood cells by stimulating the tissues. When used for nasal irrigation you get the same benefit that the manual methods can not even come close. The Sinupulse is by far the best device out there for nasal irrigation and I believe was designed by ex water pik folks who know a little about irrigation. The real exciting thing about the Sinupulse is that is has two different pulsating sprays 1) a pulsating rinsing action and a 2) pulsating spray mist great for us. You can use the spray mist to actually deliver medicated or homeopathic rinses like Xylitol, grape seed extract, alkalol, and the many other natural topical products like the natural antiinflammatories, antibiotics, and moisturizers that people are now using. This way you can actually target the source of the problem with topical products after cleaning everything out. Many have described it as having two units in one. Most private insurance companies now will even reimburse for the product with a cert of medical necessity form from your doc so you will end up paying no more than you would for a neti pot.
You can get your Sinupulse online at Amazon, CVS , Drugstorecom or Bed Bath and Beyond like i did.
Nasal Irrigation and CPAP
Re: Nasal Irrigation and CPAP
I noticed that your username is very similar to http://www.sinus-sufferer.com. Just curious, are you a user of the product, do you work for the company or both? I don't know about you, but my neti pot kit only cost me around $25. The SinuPulse system seems to be around $100.

Kenny, I think you are talking to a posting bot, not a real person. I've seen the exact same sales pitch, verbatim, posted on this forum before: viewtopic/t41251/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=37238&p=361974
