The answer to your question can be found by clicking the "Yellow Lightbulb" (Our Wisdom) at the top of the page.

Read everything you can get your hands on....and quickly....learn how to maintain control over your own therapy.

Welcome to the Forum, Plowboy!!

There is no one answer to your question because everyone is different. Many report that they feel wonderfully refreshed after only one night on CPAP and many take awhile to catch up on their sleep debt. Gerald had good advice for you. Read evertyhing you can ane make time to read more. The more you know the better you will have control over your own therapy.

I hope that you are one of the ones who feels immediate improvement.

Welcome!

I have been on CPAP therapy since 2/16/2009. After the first few nights I felt an immediate difference. Then, I went into a slump (the normal adjustment period), and am just out of it now, I think. Again, Your Mileage May Vary.

For me, I have less (or none) of:
  • Headaches
  • Panic Attacks
  • Fatigue
  • Digestive Problems
  • Palpitations or PVCs/PACs (extra heartbeats that feel like skipped heartbeats)
  • Racing pulse
  • and the list goes on...
Sleep well and live better!

Thanks for the responses, I went Tuesday night to be fitted, man it was like being trapped in a box!! I did wear it all night and my readings were astoundingly (is that a word?) good. I should have ny equipment this coming Monday and will post. The company I am using carries the newest respironics (?) model, not sure about the mask yet, will post as soon as I know. Is htis model data capable? Forgive my ignorance.
