You're right about the varied experiences with Provigil, Deb. My next post was going to be that it's probably going to take a trial run for you to see if you are one it helps. At least you didn't get any "the sky is falling" warnings.

Hey, we all are dealing with sleep apnea. If something besides cpap is found to work for even a few, it's good information for all of us to have to share. If you gain further information as you go forward, I for one would be interested in reading about it.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I don't have issues with anyone treating their apnea however they find works for them. Because of my history with a sleep doctor who did more to hurt me than help me, I am concerned when anyone posts of still being symptomatic and not having confirmation of the effectiveness of their prescribed treatment, whether that be dental devices or nondata machines.

Certainly do not mean to offend you, or ciritcize your choice of treatment. Just couldn't with a clear conscience speak about the med without the caution. Would like to hear how your followup sleep study goes.

Kathy

Thanks Kathy. Will keep you posted of anything that eventuates. By being involved in testing, or whatever they do, I may get to hear of new things (operations, pills, etc.) that may be in the wind even if they're some time off for general use.

We're all wanting the same thing - to get a decent night's sleep and to feel good the next day. It shouldn't be so hard!
