Oh, RG, I can only deduce by that last comment that the J&J Adhesive 2" tape is going to hurt at least as much as the mole skin did to rip off if you're telling me I need to bring a pad and paper ( ). I don't like the sound of that.

I just found a post where Derek told another user of the Encorepro that 29 or so is not a bad figure for leaks since you take into account the exhaust ports in that figure and the mask leaks. I did PM him and am waiting to see how bad my 32-43 is. Am I grasping here? Yes, definitely. I am not expecting applause, that's for sure. Although my snore index is 0.

My girlfriend also grooms dogs in Atlanta, but it's just her two poodles. Soggy moles are not pleasant at all.

By the way, do you recommend the Tegaderm over the J&J or the other way around? Thanks for your input, as usual. Hope your have a pleasant day. I think I'm gonna need a nap for the first time in I don't know how long.

32 isn't bad. The peaks are likely where the mole was trying to escape with its skin. Lower twenties and sometimes the high teens are the leak numbers I get when all holds well. I consider mid-upper twenties to be a nice, relatively "leakless" number.
So I guess we can assume the 43 was not a great figure, then? This tape thing is not fun ...

The Tegaderm holds better. The J&J is easier to find and cheaper. Holds almost as well as the Tegaderm.

It's "either-or", not both together. Tegaderm or adhesive tape.

The Tegaderm I'm using is in a 4" x 4 1/2" square. I cut it in two, so I get two nights out of it -- using one "half" each night.

It's difficult to make useful grabtabs with the Tegaderm. But it's easy to poke a hole in it with a finger...poking it at the center, between the lips. You can peel it off then.

Of course, you could just jab it with a sharp pencil point...

RG,
I'll tell you, after how it felt to rip off the mole skin this morning, that couldn't really hurt that much more.
Thanks again for your time and input. It's appreciated . Have a great day.

PS: Now that I am awake (had my tea), I noticed what a comedian you really are, RG, yourself. I was re-reading this thread to see if I missed anything in my pre-tea stupor and I had to laugh at some of the comments either I didn't read correctly or slept through this morning. "Cpap du Soleil"!!! Think the circus on the bottom floor (the surface of it all) could be an interpretation/representation for something else going on here?

Lori, here are some helpful photos regarding taping methods. As a special added bonus, the third picture also addresses that pesky problem some people have of unknowingly removing their masks in their sleep.

Neversleeps,

Let me just say, LOL x 1,000,000!!!! I felt like these guys look last night, minus the straight jacket. Too, too funny. A girl after my own heart !

That being said, how do you get a picture inside the post? I tried to do that the other day with a photo of a woman sleeping on her side with the Swift, showing how she configured the hose, and it wouldn't paste. What did I do wrong, or what didn't I do? Maybe you could lead me down the right path? Come on, after those photos, you owe me one!!!

I was just thinking...you only need to really have the edges of your tape stick to your skin. Couldn't you attach a piece of cloth to the central part of the tape so it doesn't stick to your lips? That might make it a little less painful to remove.

Amy,

I don't think that would work because then your lips could allow saliva to pass through them, if they weren't taped shut, which would cause the adhesive on the tape to come loose, as did my mole skin at 3 AM last night. Good thought, though. Wish it were the case...

Did you read the post I put up about the fix I did last night working on the straps ???

Lori,
Right click on the picture you want to use. Left click on Properties. Highlight (for copying) the Address (URL).

In your new post, when you're ready to put in a picture, click on the
Img
button then paste the url you just copied, then click the Img button again.

At least, that's how I do it.... there's probably some easier way....

OR.....
instead of using the Img button....once you've copied the address you can just paste it in your post and then insert after it.

Will the image appear, if you do a preview of your post, that way? I'm going to try it.

Thanks!
