getting info from M Series with c-flex

Post by runaroundsue » Sat Apr 04, 2009 9:19 am

I am visiting a friend sho is new to cpap and has a Resperonics M Series with C-Flex. He didn't know he could see his info each day. Can someone let me know how to view the info. I have a Resmed S8 Elite - I know how that one works.

Please let us know how to view his info. Thanks.

If your friend doesn't have an M Series Pro or an M Series Auto, he won't be able to get the information. There are "lesser" models that only give compliance data.....even though they may have a smart card in them.

What model is his M Series - Plus, Pro or Auto? With the Plus he will get no data except how long he used it. Even if it has a card in it, it must be a Pro or an Auto to get detailed data.

He has a Remstar Pro M Series. It looks as though access to Apn-Hyp Index and System Leak have been turned off. I got into the setup and those features do not show up to be able to turn them off or on.

I would also suggest waiting at least an hour after the machine is turned off for the (previous night's) data to be available in the LCD. At least that's what I've read from people who have the M Series machines.

I see that the display shows an unlocked icon. I saw the ahi info and leak info screens, but I turned the machine off/on to lock it again and those data screens don't show up when I went through the menu again. Do you leave it unlocked?

I don't have and have never used one of those machines, so hopefully someone who does will come along and advise you on that question.

If I understand what you are saying, don't pay attention to the "unlocked icon". It shows while you are resetting. It goes away when you press the on/off button to exit.

I notice that when I am resetting . . . if I am too slow it goes back out of reset mode, and I have to unplug the power and start over.

Hope this answers your question,
Joy

I finally got to the right menu !! Now, what would be good numbers for him to see tomorrow morning in the leak and AHI? Thanks again!

As far as the leak question goes......it depends on what mask he uses and the pressure the machine is set to. If he has the user manual that should have come with his mask, there should be a graph in it that shows the "Vent Flow Rate" (known leakage at stated pressures).

With regard to the AHI.......it should be less than 5.0......but the lower the better.

He's got a Swift LT , pressure at 6. I'll look for vent flow rate, I was looking for 'leak' rate.

I was all excited to see my friend's results this morning, but the only numbers that showed were 7.1 hours of usage and one session.

Leak was 0.0 and the AHI was 0.0 There must be another menu to turn something on. What do you think?
