I am in the process of purchasing a cpap machine and am interested in learning about the different masks etc. I have heard about the cpap pro that has a mouth piece rather than straps. Anyone feedback would be appreciated with i am planning on purcahsing the Elite 7 with humidifier i believe it is a ResMed product but really looking for comments on cpap pro mask.

Dear jcsokasy
This forum has lots of info on lots of different masks and machines, you can get an idea of whats available from cpap.com
However, I always advise people to look at an APAP machine for their first machine rather than a straight CPAP machine like the S7. I know they are a bit more expensive, but they are so much more responsive and adjust to your ever changing needs. For example, my CPAP pressure was given at 7.6 - but I really struggled with CPAP. Then I got the Resmed autoset spirit and found that my pressure ranges from 7.4 to 8.9!! Some nights I need a lot more and some a lot less. CPAP cannot cope with this range, whereas APAP is designed to meet it.
I don't know about mouth breathing masks as I use nasal pillows which I have found very easy to use right from the start. So, if you're looking at buying a machine, look very seriously at APAP.
