April 1, 2009 (evening)

I sit staring at my computer screen, searching inside myself for what nugget of inner truth to share with my adoring fan base. I'm feeling . . . mellow. Suddenly, my mind drifts back to an early memory of me as a small baby, in my crib, sleeping peacefully. Then, what's that obnoxious noise in the distance? I hear it now as it was then--my being startled awake by the terrifying sound of mom running the vacuum cleaner in the hallway! I cry in anquish and confusion, tears running down my infant face. Make it stop! Make it stop! . . .

Now, back to the reality of the here and now. Who would have thought that one day I would be sharing my deepest personal thoughts and feelings in a forum dedicated to a similar machine, only, very appropriately, running backwards? Who could have foreseen that my life would be changed forever by just such a machine--not interrupting my sleep--but lulling me into blissful slumber, unfrightened and uncrying, night after night?

Oh, the irony of the mental juxtaposition, the blower and hose of yesteryear and the blower and hose of the present--side by side in conscious thought, yet apart in time, and working to such contrary purpose!

I will sit here now and contemplate the resonating significance of this within myself.

I thank you all for sharing this journey with me.

Bravo!

I think Jeff nicely proves that with good old-fashioned "psyche digging"----with a little bit of CPAP resolve----that pressure data going BUMP in the middle of the night doesn't have to be a scary thing...

It's All In The Presentation

Post by StillAnotherGuest » Wed Apr 01, 2009 7:25 pm

Boy, I tell ya, this thread will get 300 views today, and my "What To Look For To Survive A Heart Attack" will get 40.

From now on, all my thread titles will include jnk or Anna Kournikova.

Or maybe both.

Fun Thing To Know: The next big sleep drug will probably be Almorexant.

Aromatherapy may help CPAP compliance. Lavender, Mandarin, Chamomile, and Sweet Marjoram aid in relaxation and sleep. Nature's Gift has these and a blend of all four called SleepEase.

I would just like to say that, as I look back on my first day blogging in my perpetual thread as given me by SAG, I've learned so much about myself that I can't even put into words. But if I had to try, it would probably be very close to the classic video: "Fronier Psychiatrist" by the Avalanches. . . .

That would be 447 views on a thread luxuriating in off-beat humor of all things, which allows people to emotionally decompress during difficult times. And that in turn can help avoid:

So I want my psychotropic-TV back! Where's jnk's YouTube channel again?

Well, at least 400 of those views were me. I kept returning to my diary-blog in an attempt to figure out the deeper meaning of my life. Maybe it will all make sense later.

Sorry, SAG, for hijacking your thread that you just happened to name after me!

No, it's your thread, I'm just the author (see, I told you it would get confusing).

However, SAG clearly sees how "humor" is much safer to post than "technical details".

In a hybrid of same, SAG will post humorous technical details, as seen in this MSDS Sheet of "o.", "RG" and related organisms:
