Mask alarm

Post by guest 12567 » Mon Mar 23, 2009 6:51 am

Is there an alarm or a counter for a mask that you could install that will tell you when you take the mask off. I am taking it off during the night and not waking up to reinstall. The weird part is I am not ripping it off I am removing it very carefully.
I am also feeling great. It took about a week for it to kick in but now I am staying awake.

I've heard Remstar's have a "Mask Alarm" but I've never turned it on. Supposedly, it's to wake you of your mask is knocked askew. I think it would do the same if you intentionally took off the mask without turning the machine off.

You could also turn "Auto Off" on to shut off the machine when your mask has been off 30-45 seconds, BUT my machine turned off by itself one night (probably reacting to a long apnea?), so I'd use caution in activating "Auto Off".
