Oh now, Dreamer, STOP THAT!!! There's plenty of hot babes in Kansas. I know. I used to be one.
Head down to Wichita, stop in at the Coyote Club, get liquored up, and avail yourself of the Rock Motor Court Motel next door.
LOL,

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula.

I don't drink and I don't drive..... Never been to Wichita.....and I don't think the places the Roadrunner stops to pickup/drop off passengers counts as visits to other places in Kansas. Don't know what I would do in a club....Babette wrote:Oh now, Dreamer, STOP THAT!!! There's plenty of hot babes in Kansas. I know. I used to be one.

Thank you Babette...for your open, honest answers...we can always count on you : )
I do remember when you starting seeing your 'fella', and pleased to hear you are both
doing well...together.
Did browse through craigslist, and that was .....frightening. Guess I've been
out of the mix toooooo long, or I'm simply a coward. Maybe it was just what I needed to
realize my life, as it is...is wonderful. Perhaps I'll place this situation in my 'Gave it to God' prayers
for this evening, and allow Him to continue to be my source of peace and comfort.

Re: Dating...and cpap (off topic for most)
Haven't dated since getting the machine in January...recovering from sleep deprivation means I will probably start looking around again. I don't think I'm single because of OSA - but I confess understanding the lesser impacts of OSA - irritability, for one - probably haven't helped a couple past relationships.
The greater impacts of OSA including strokes, heart disease, diabetes, weight-management difficulty, and sudden death, I think being otherwise healthy even if on CPAP makes one rather a catch in the over-40 crowd.
But then - I have yet to think of a way to bring it up without making really bad jokes about Darth Vader fetishes....

I met my wife through match.com 5 years ago. I didn't have the CPAP back then, but I honestly don't think it would have mattered. My snoring was terrible and she put up with that.

You probably have a home congregation that you are very fond of, but consider trying other congregations to see if there's a single of interest there...yorkiemum01 wrote:Thank you Babette...for your open, honest answers...we can always count on you : )

Ooo, good idea, Sharkbait. YorkieMum, I just LOVE "church shopping." Can't keep us Unitarians out.
Actually, I find it refreshing to visit other congregations, and even other denominations and other faiths. Makes me feel connected to humanity in a way that my regular, everyday world, doesn't always provide.
I spent the Sabbath after 9/11 at a local Reformed Jewish Temple - had never been to one before, but I wanted in some way to connect to some Jewish cyber friends in New York who were so horribly traumatized. I was so glad I went. I ended - just by chance - sitting next to a Gentile woman married to a Jewish man, and we giggled together over never getting the hang of the 'backwards' hymnal. It really made me feel relaxed and welcomed. Helped my heart alot.
In the Seattle area, there is a group called "Events and Adventures" that organizes group events for singles. But you don't need to partner up for any of it. I know at least one church-going man who joined - I'm sure there are probably others. You might look into something similar in your area.
Craigslist is NOT for the faint of heart. And I see very little "church-going" attitude there. I don't think I'd recommend this particularly to you. I DO think there are similar dating sites out there, that cater specifically to people seeking others of the same faith. I'm just not familiar with them. Do go surfing and see if you can find one.
I've tried "letting go and letting God," and at this point, I think the times I've felt really URGED to seek out a partner have been God telling me to help myself a little. But that's my perspective, not necessarily yours.
Huggers,
B.

This subject comes up occasionally. I find them humorous.
I searched for one of the first ones that I remembered reading back in 2005.

Re: Dating...and cpap (off topic for most)
You must realize, when you have two people who are as good looking as we are, it is difficult to date. People are intimidated by our looks, assume they can't measure up, and consequently shy away. So yes, Angelina and I met on match.com. One thing I was ticked about though, is she never showed any of those skanky tattoos in her match.com photos. In a way it was false advertising but she had me sexually addicted by that time and I couldn't turn away.Guest wrote:and...she was listed on match.com???
