last night showed improvement

Post by KFhunter » Mon Mar 09, 2009 5:31 am

day 1
pressure 8
leak 0
AHI 22.3
AI 9.2
HI 13.1
7:14 hours used

day 2
pressure 8.4
leak .08
AHI 8.2
AI .7
HI 7.5
6:41 used

I can feel the improvement today, that bump in pressure kept the hose dryer also as I didn't get the rainout of the first night. I slept fairly well. I still need more sleep but I'm working an extra hal shift today and had to be in to work at 4am.

I notice my leak went up a bit, two things changed which could have caused it. 1) I used lanolin and 2) the bump in pressure. Another possible option since I slept better I might have lost more air thru my mouth, its mostly closed but a few times last night I ended up sleeping in the wet spot on my pillow lol

Think I should bump the pressure up a tad more? maybe 8.6? Is my DME going to freak out because I still have to do the compliance thing. I have an appt with my pulmonologist who'll want to see it. I think once the compliance thing is done I'll be on my own.

Greetings,

I would leave the pressure as it is for a few days and work on stopping the mouth leaks. It doesn't matter how much you raise your pressure if the air goes out into the room. If it were me I would keep the pressure where it is and tape my mouth for a week and see what the numbers look like then. Good luck.
