My original mask 3 years ago was the Snapp X which appears to have been replaced by the Snapp 2.0.
I liked the Snapp X pretty well but gave it to my sister who is very ill because she has troubles getting out for fittings etc.
Anyway I was considering replacing it with the new Snapp 2.0 but wondered if anyone on the board has tried the update and how you like it?

Re: Snapp 2.0 New Version of Snapp X
I started using the SnappX last Spring and really like it! I got a couple of the Snapp2.0 bellows nasal part (which fit the same frame as the SnappX). I did't find any difference.
I don't think cpap.com is going to continue to carry them. Right now they are not selling any replacement parts for either Snapp. I have seen the SNapp2.0 "bellows" on a few other sites.
Right now, cpap.com is selling the whole SnappX for $49. each. I bought 2 in January so I would have them since I wear an XL and I haven't found a site that is carrying the XL in either mask or the bellows.
I just checked and cpap.com has Small and XL available right now in the SnappX. They are out of stock in a couple of the sizes in the Snapp 2.0 (it costs more than the SnappX) but say they will be in March 3.

Re: Snapp 2.0 New Version of Snapp X
Since both of you, Dieselgal & Hawthorne, like the Snapp Mask so well . . . I'd like to hear more about what you like about it and why it is a favorite. Do you wear it above your head? Are you side sleepers, and how do you manage sleeping on your side?
I am a side sleeper almost exclusively and currently use the CL2 . . . and just ordered the AEIOMed Headrest. I like the tubing above my head supported by my hose hanger. The Snapp mask "simple headgear" is appealing to me. But I am concerned about the silicone apparatus/tubing that looks like it sits on the side of the face (how it feels when sleeping on your side), and wonder what the nasal prongs feel like. How far do they go in and are they anything like the Nasal Aire II? I've tried to find one locally to check out, but no one carries it.
TIA,
Joy

Re: Snapp 2.0 New Version of Snapp X
I like the Snapp because there is not much to it and I find it very comfortable and very light!! The headgear is great and very adjustable.
My leak rate, using it, is just great!
I am a back sleeper, because of a medical condition, so I can't comment on how it would be for a side sleeper.
I like the tubing down on all my masks probably because I sleep on my back amd I use a contoured bed pillow so the rise at the back might be a problem with the tubing above my head. If I have to get up in the night for a bathroom trip, it is easy to disconnect and reconnect the tubing without taking off the mask with the tubing down. That's imporant to me because I have limited shoulder range. I can reach above my head but it is difficult, especially since I stiffen up after being asleep for a while. I use a hose hanger with a base that fits between my mattress and box springs and I have it at the side of the bed just at the bottom of my bed pillow.
The prongs go on about 1/4 of an inch and seal beautifully. I did not need any time to get used to the prongs at all. They are soft and flexible. The sizing tends to be large. I use the XL prongs (getting hard to get that size) in the Snapp and a Small in the Swift LT!
I have used the Nasal Aire and I would say the prongs are about the same but I don't like all the tubing on the Nasal Aire. It bothers my head.
I'm in Canada and, cetainly, nobody around here carries them! If you tried a Nasal Aire I think would give you a feel for the prongs but nothing else about the mask. Actually I wore the Medium Large, I think it was, when I tried the Nasal Aire so size comparison would be difficult. When I got my first Snapp it came in a multi pack with 3 sizes. I had emailed the makers of the Snapp and they sent me a sizer so I pretty much knew what would fit. I don't know if the multi size pack is available anymore.
