BTW, for those of you who are new to therapy, and EXHAUSTED, and can't fathom making your own hose hanger - there are several commercial models available. I bought one on Ebay early on.

My personal experience has shown that when sleeping alone, I don't need a hose hanger. But for sharing a bed, I can see how hose management might become an issue for me. I think everyone is very individual on their needs for hose management.

I think it depends on where your machine is and how high you hang the hose. Our machines are about 6" below the top of the mattress, we have a king size bed and standard length hoses.....and have no problems "meeting in the middle" to spoon.

Before I hung the hose, the good news was that I had NO apnea or hypopnea incidents during the night. The bad news was that it was becuase I got NO sleep that night, as every time I moved that **** hose was in my way and kept me awake all night.

Hung it the next day and haven't looked back.
