Clinician manual

I started CPAP about a year ago with mixed results. I've tried a few different masks and settled on a nasal pillow divice due to my "scruffy" mustache. What I find is that I wake up in the middle of the night feeling like a balloon ready to burst. Needless to say the machine is supplying the pressure it is supposed to. I guess? I believe the Praxair people set me up at a 12 but how can I tell for sure. Is there anyway to get into the setup menu and check? I was not provided with a manual that shows how to access the set up. There has been no follow up from the CPAP people and they took my perscription when I got the machine. So far I can't get a full nights sleep with the machine. I was hoping to perhaps check the setting or possibly even go down a number to see if the overwhelming feeling of being "blown up" goes away. Where can I get a manual for the Resmed Tango?

I see by some of the posts that you guys are getting some follow ups. Who does the follow up? My regular DR scheduled the sleep test. Then suggusted Praxair for the machine. Since then I haven't spoken to anyone except the Praxair and insurance billing people who don't seem to know whos paying for what.

Very frustrating.

Oh boy! You ran into a couple of real winners there. *sigh* My only experience w/Praxair was when I went to Mayo in Rochester, MN and my local DMEl supplier made arrangements for a rental concentrator whilst I was there. It was cheaper for my local DME supplier to rent the concentrator from a local DME supplier in Olmsted than to rent one from Praxair in Rochester - and Praxair was IN THE SAME BUILDING AS MY MOTEL!

As for the Resmed Tango. It is capable of providing excellent therapy - but that is all. I'm not even sure that the Tango can provide compliance data. Its a bottom of the line CPAP machine as far as data goes. Praxair sure didn't strain their profit margin any by providing you w/the Tango. And it sure sounds like Praxair is the absolute pits for supplying the support, advice and education they get paid extra for over and above what you can buy your CPAP equipment from an online supplier.

The Resmed Tango was the machine my FORMER DME was going to give me before I fired them. After some hassle, I switched DME's and now have the M Series Pro. Maybe you could try upgrading? I'm still pretty new at this, but there are lots of experienced people here that have good suggestions regarding machines.

Since you've had the Tango for almost a year I seriously doubt that your local DME is going to exchange it for a Resmed S8 Elite w/EPR or S8 Elite II w/EPR - BUT - nothing ventured, nothing gained. On the other hand, if you can afford it I'd check out the price of the S8 Elite or S8 Elite II from an online DME supplier like cpap.com and self-purchase one saving the Tango for a backup/travel device. Maybe. Now that I think of it, I'm not so sure that the Tango can use the Humidaire 3i or 4i integrated humidifier .....
