Re: Effects of Oropharyngeal Exercises on Patients with Moderate
I have access to the full article. PM if you would like a copy . There is even a video of how to do the exercises! It's basically a series of exercises moving the tongue about. There are also some exercises where you move the soft palate making certain noises.
Too be honest, I'm surprised it was accepted from a high impact factor journal such as this given the relatively small change in AHI.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but it sounds easier to strap on the mask and just lie there.
Don't forget you will still have to strap on the mask.

Mike -- I'm posting the exercises as a new topic in case others might be interested but wouldn't find them here.

Here's some soft palate exercises.
I would say I'd be a guinea pig to try them out, but by the time I post this I will have forgotten.
I know EXACTLY WHAT THIS FEELS LIKE.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula.

Re: Effects of Oropharyngeal Exercises on Patients with Moderate
I contacted Dr. Lorenzi-Filho, one of the Drs cited in the study. He sent me a copy
of the study which includes the throat exercises developed from the speech therapy world.
Now, if someone will describe how to attach the study (with exercises included), I'll be glad to post it; or if more appropriate, I can e-mail it to anyone interested. I don't know if this is the same paper someone earlier offered to send out. – Mike
