You don't show the Swift LT in your equipment, which leads me to believe you're trying to corner the market on medium LT pillows. This is very disturbing to me...

Some "guest" weeny would just show up at the roast trying to get us to grill up some of the Spam he was sellin'.

Good idea! Maybe we should rename the button "Grill Spam." I don't think online interrogations even have to follow the Geneva Convention, since the spam-grilling rule is 'Guilty till proven innocent'!

Since this forum exists for the purpose of helping new and struggling CPAP users, any and all changes that are made should be geared for the ease of use by this target group. There are lots of folks who come here still suffering from OSA and barely able to function, but might still need or want to ask a question. Yes, they can and probably should register before being allowed to post, but some will not and would be thus be barred, not physically but by their own incapabilities, from getting some help. So I think it would be good if guests were still allowed to post.

I have seen a few major flame wars here in the past year or so, but things always seem to settle down in a few days when the flamers flame out and go on to the next forum. I have also seen some very heated and at the same time very intelligent and amazing discussions by people of wit and integrity who happened to have differing viewpoints. I remain in awe of the knowledge, experiance and time people are willing to share here. I have seen some threads take some interesting twists and turns from their original topics. There have been times I have been absent for a time and come back regretting having missed out on what must have been a heckuva set-to, judging by the litter left behind. But consistently people here get back to the business of helping and caring and sharing, which is why we are all on the forum. I think that is because all in all, newbies and veterans alike, we have a pretty good bunch of people here who manage to sort things out themselves.

IMHO, things are OK as they are, but a one month waiting period for anti-spamming privileges wouldn't hurt anything. I realize that this forum is supported by a business that has to take time out from running that business just to keep things going here, let alone make changes, so I appreciate very much your efforts to keep it a nice place to visit. My only objection would be to any change that put up obstacles for new users or puts too much of a burden on our generous hosts.

Peace be with you all.

Having just donned my cape and mask and deleted around 10 spam messages, I have to admit that I quite like the current formula. I see a viagra ad, I delete it, and most don't even know it ever existed. Sure it may get abused from time to time, but I'd say that's the minority, and the mods can always re-instate those messages, and take action against the abuser. The system actually does work as it is right now.
