Yes, the detailed graphs SilverLining generates will help you see clusters of events.n0trab wrote:I'm wondering whether any of the detail charts in SilverLining, when I get to understand them better, will help me see if the events are tightly clustered, or otherwise give me clues about this concern.
Confused...still???

AutoCPAP Reports and REM Periods
Actually, there are a couple of ways you could see how your APAP was addressing issues in REM. As long as your sleep hygiene is reasonably good (don't go to bed one night at 10:00 PM, then the next night at 3:00 AM) and you aren't taking REM-suppressing anti-depressants, your REM periods are fairly predictable. The first one will occur about 90 minutes after sleep onset, and the others will follow at 90 minute intervals. Or if you can dig up the sleep architecture graph from your sleep study, and if your CPAP titration night was representative of a normal night's sleep (c'mon, there must be SOMEONE out there) you can match up the REM periods on the graph with the results from the APAP download. Here's what one looks like:

If you have REM-dependent apnea, you should be able to see the increased pressure responses of the APAP as you pass through the REM cycles (assuming, of course, that more pressure is needed).
