News To Me

Post by junie » Tue Feb 24, 2009 5:45 pm

Well I got a surprise I was going to give this nasal mask away because it never did fit, About 3 yrs. ago a DME, came to my house, he was from NJ. he had this mask for me told me to try it on, he told me to give it some time to work, Well here's the story It never fit right I didn't know the name of it so I just went on line to see what the name of the mask was, well that little tube that straps on the mask he never gave it to me know wonder it didn't fit right,
It's a ADAM CIRCUIT NASAL PILLOW, he never left me any instructions just handed me it in a baggie, I can't believe it oh well,

I was given that mask at one of my sleep studies and it was a long hard night - hated the mask! Posted about it and someone replied how much they loved it. Once again, we are all so different. Having all the pieces sure would make any mask more workable though.

My favorite mask is one that I turned down at first. When the DME showed it to me as a 'very popular mask' I physically drew back and said 'no thanks'! : ))) At the time I was looking for something that didn't resemble a mask

The 1st nasal pillows mask I ever got to like was an unnamed unit.

I had actually been given an unbranded mask nasal pillows mask from someone in NY and loved it & later when I got an Adams Ckt, realized the unnamed one I had may well have been the prototype WHICH, I preferred (it was identical except for an angle piece), so I modified the later ones to match the prototype - they were nearly as good.

It all has to do with the angle the pillows sit at the nose.

I still have both types - if I remember this w/e will photo them & post

Cheers
