Deeper sleep stages should result in lower heart BPM.

As a comparison here is a one night study I did with NO CPAP.
In my case the pulse was fine but the 02 desaturation events were double that with CPAP.Low basal 02 of 94.3%

With the CMS-50F wristband type,it is really not a bother to wear.I would probably check 02 twice a month.
Universal finger size probe may require some adjustment for slender finger types.
Also this model has a "Low Battery" charge indicator that turns Orange when Low,Green when Full.

That looks like some extremely useful information. I'm wondering what you need to "wear" for this oximeter . . . ie, a little sleeve, or clip, etc on your finger? Is it bothersome having another wire to maneuver as you try to sleep?

Of course when they hooked me up in the sleep lab . . . there were zillions of wires, so it WAS bothersome

TIA, Joy
My is the finger model and there are no wires. It actually stays on quite well in my case when sleeping.

The oximeter that I have is worn on the wrist like a watch and it has a flexible rubber grip that you slip onto your middle finger or ring finger. After a long time the pressure can be a little bit weird, but definitely something that you get used to. I slept well with it on me all night.

I would like one that is very inexpensive, does not record but has a loud settable alarm. If for some reason I couldn't use my APAP, it would wake me before I die, which I consider superior to recording that I had expired.

It's going to be okay in the end; if it's not okay, it's not the end.

Knock your self out here before you die.

Look at a wrist option like Linus when with if you plan to sleep in it. The clip style will come off from time to time so keep that in mind if death is a concern you have.

Which finger do you use with your oximeter? I get nearly a 2 points higher reading off the middle finger vs. the index finger. My 11 year old son said because the middle finger is bigger the meter gets a better reading.
