Hi All,
I'm getting ready to drive to the Sleep for my Titration in a few hours. The offices are currently closed (also my DME) - and I was wondering if I should take my data/Smart Card from my machine.
Note: I was issued a machine right after my first Sleep Lab and my doc had it set to 6 (probably to get me used to it). With the help of RG and others of you, I learned to up my pressure, first to 8 and then to 10. With ten I'm under 5 AHI (3.0) last night. I called earlier today to see if it was really necessary to lug my machine is since I can set it myself, and have been doing that. (The Prep Paper said to bring in the machine so they could reset it after Titration). When I called and proposed that I leave my machine home . . . she said that would be fine, but to bring the hose and mask. Now I'm wondering if I should take the Smart Card. Wiull they want to look at my data?
Thanks,
Joy

HELP! - Re: Sleep Lab Tonight for Titration
I wanted to add that the reason I'm concerned about whether or not to take the Smart Card with me tonight . . . is because I don't know if taking it out of my machine will mess up the data for the DME later when she needs it to confirm that I am compliant for Medicare.
I'm guessing that removing the Card won't do anything to the data . . . but just wanted to be sure.
Thanks,
Joy

It will not affect the data unless the sleep lab clears it.JoyD. wrote:I wanted to add that the reason I'm concerned about whether or not to take the Smart Card with me tonight . . . is because I don't know if taking it out of my machine will mess up the data for the DME later when she needs it to confirm that I am compliant for Medicare.

You seem to have made some excellent progress prior to your titration. Nice, unusual story!

Re: Sleep Lab Tonight for Titration
Just bring your hose and mask. I wouldn't bring them my machine or card...ever! Many of these sleep centers don't know how to get info from the card without erasing it. You could take a printout of your most recent few nights for them to see.
