Vantage is an OLD model but it is an APAP
Elite II is the very latest but it is a CPAP only.

The new model has "Easy Breathe Technology" as well as being quieter and having EPR.

As BigK mentioned the Vantage is the older model Auto - the new one is simply called the S8 Autoset II (very confusing).
Resmed still list both on their US website & that adds to the confusion. Both are called premium devices. But the Autoset II
is the newer one with improved EasyBreathe (an enhanced EPR).

An S8 Vantage is a APAP machine that can operate in both APAP and CPAP modes, with data capture facilities and EPR in CPAP mode. It provides the greatest overall flexibility of the two machines

The S8 Elite II operates in CPAP mode only but does have a full data capture and EPR facilities. It is a newer model that the S8 Vantage, but for CPAP purposes it is has no significant difference from an S8 Vantage run in CPAP mode. The S8 Elite II will be slightly quieter than the S8 Vantage.

Cheers

Bill

good description billbolton. I'm a Vantage user, and the only other Resmed I used was
the Escape, which only runs in CPAP mode. My Vantage is whisper quiet, and I was
fortunate enough to just purchase outright from a forum member. I've used both the
APAP and CPAP mode, and very pleased with this product. Please dont hesitate on the
Vantage just because its not the newest model, its a great machine. (in my opinion)
