formatting card for encore viewer

Post by ainsle14 » Fri Feb 13, 2009 11:19 am

Hello: I recently started using my auto cpap. I am on my 6th day. I need to format my card. I downloaded the program to format my card from mycpap.org but the program will not work. I try to open the program and it comes up for less than a second and disappears. I tried downloading the program again and reinstalling it again but it does the same thing. I have an acer computer using windows XP. I emailed mycpap. org but have not heard from them. Has anyone had this problem with the program? Thank you

I use EncorePro with a card reader, and with that there's no formatting of the card needed.

Hopefully, someone around here knows about the program you're using and can help you.

Pam

Why are you looking to format the card? I've been using Encore Viewer for a couple of monthsaand have had no need to re-format.

Formatting the card won't fix the lost days problem with the "M"eries. You have to format the machine with a big hammer. Jim

I have been formatting the card from my M Series Auto every Sunday morning since last April ( when I last lost data) with that card utility. I have not lost one single night of data since then.

Bumping might help, if you bump it hard enough. I prefer a hammer. Jim

I'm not sure that ainsle14, meant formatting, he may have meant downloading the card.

Are you sure it's not minimized and just down in the taskbar? Is there an error message?

Have you tried running the program as an administrator? If not right click on the icon and select "run as administrator".

Don't know how to help you with the download, but it worked fine for me. After missing a day or 2 of data every week , Hawthorne told me about this program and I now format the card every Sun.morning too. I think it can only hold 7 days of data at a time so formatting probably erases the last week's data to make room. Hawthorne would probably know how that works.

Ainsle writes...I try to open the program and it comes up for less than a second and disappears.

I had precisely the same problem, and I also use xp.

I had to reload it several times before it finally "caught".

One thing to keep in mind is to be certain that all other programs are off, so there is no fooling around between software programs.

Keep at it, it's worth it.

Hawthorne.

Great minds think alike.

I also started formatting the encore card each Sunday, and I haven't had any missing data since.

I record each week's data on pdf by printing to file with "cutewriter", so it's all archived.
