Who is "THEY"? If it was a doctor, did they write him a prescription?scorpiess wrote:from scorpiess. You can look at cpap.com or cpapauction.com and check their prices.
If you want to get a respironics m series machine, the bottom one is called the "basic" DS 100. The next one up which has some minimal exhale relief it called the "plus". The next one up which has "real data" available is called the "pro". Many people on the forum want some data, but if no one is going to follow it, it might not be worth it. There is also another respironics machine out there with an integrated humidifier called the Sleep Easy. It has no data, but it appears to hold a sufficient amount of water for most people.
All of these have an integrated humidifier available, however many people find that it doesn't hold enough water for the night. A lot depends on where he lives (climate) and how dried out his sinuses and mouth gets. You might want to look at a stand alone humidifier such as Fisher & Paykel HC 150. It will cost more than the integrated one.

I use the Aeromed CPAP 2 machine with a built in -(but removable) humidifier--I love this machine--is is only about 3 lbs and is smaller than a toaster--
See web address above. I think it is about $600 but I am sure your brother could probably get some financial help with this---does he have private insurance?
Mine covered the CPAP and all supplies after my co-pay. I can't recommend this machine more highly. It also is so very portable --comes with its own case with places for everything. AND very very quiet--sometimes I am not even sure it is on--it is that quiet.
Best Wishes-Bobbi

I have never heard of this model cpap you mention, so I think there is some misunderstanding.scorpiess wrote:from scorpiess. I they told him to get a respironic Cpap 1200cm H20 with heated humidifier machine
For good deals you should check Craigslist but compare those prices with new machines from the links you've been provided before you jump. cpap.com has the best prices you will find.

I have no doubt, how I sleep affects every waking moment.
I am making progress-NOW I remember that I can't remember

If this isn’t rocket science why are there so many spaceshots?

Wait ... 1200CM??? Are you sure it's that high? Isn't that almost like a pressure washer?
If you have a prescription, try cpapauction.com. If you don't, I think craigslist would be your best bet.
Good Luck.

You could also check the famous internet selling place (think of a river in Northern Africa). They have Everest II's for $199.
Then check cpapxchange.com for a (used) stand alone humidifier for well under $75. So you can come out under $300.
I wouldn't get a used cpap, but I might get a used humidifier.
