Re: R these good numbers?
They are great numbers! On a Resmed, most of your AHI is made up of Hypoapneas (HI) which are not as bad as AI (full Apneas). You want your AHI below 5 and, since Resmeds "overreport " HIs, you are maybe even below an AHI of 1.2. With a 0.00l/s leak rate and these other great number, how are you feeling? The numbers show you should be feeling great since your sleep apnea is well managed!

Hi Hawthorne---
Yes, I do feel great this morning!!! I am just getting over a bad cold so I felt like I slept pretty good last night and when I checked my numbers, I was surprised that they were so low. I did sleep longer than I usually do and I feel like I am energized now--LOL! I only hope that I can maintain these numbers. thanks for responding

Hi--I slept 9 1/2 hours!!! I usually do not sleep more than 7 to 8. I am off work today as I took a vacation day. I did have a small drink last night with some Maker's Mark in it!! LOL! I wonder if that is why I slept so well??? Not recommended to have this at bedtime every night tho----ha!!ha!! I guess in this case--it was considered "medicinal"----

Many people report sleeping better when they don't have work the next day.sleeplessinaz wrote: ....... I am off work today as I took a vacation day. ..........
I'm retired and mostly only do what I want to. But even then, I sleep better when there is nothing scheduled the next morning. I think contributing to better sleep is a sense of relief knowing that if you have a bad night you can catch some extra Zs in the morning. When I have something scheduled the next morning, even something fun, I feel pressure to get a good night's sleep. Of course this backfires.

Re: R these good numbers?
Can you have a leak of 0? I thought you would always have leaks associated with how much each mask is designed to leak. The leaks stop you from rebreathing your own CO2.sleeplessinaz wrote:Hello everyone,

Re: R these good numbers?
The machine she has deducts the vent rate and arrives at a true leak rate.
Our M-Series machines report the total leak rate which is "designed vent rate plus unintentional leaks".

Re: R these good numbers?
Hi--I always seem to have a leak of zero---since I got my new Swift LT. LOVE that mask---it makes all the difference to have a great mask that I can sleep on my side with.
I guess having the day off from work helps too---like the previous person suggested. I used the AYR GEL last night too --so I do think that gel helps in keeping the leaks down.

Re: R these good numbers?
Hey--thanks Beam and Rooster!!! The Swift LT is the best one invented so far that I have used. I do have the OPTI LIFE for a backup --but I love the LT much better for side sleeping. Some day when I am retired Rooster--I hope to sleep pretty well!! LOL! I have about 12 more years to work yet---I am only 55---

I did it at 56 because I was wasted by years of undiagnosed sleep apnea. It is good to hear that you have things under such good control.sleeplessinaz wrote:....... I have about 12 more years to work yet---I am only 55---

9 1/2 hours with that AHI is great! Gotta agree on the mask; so far I'm pretty happy with it.sleeplessinaz wrote:Hi--I slept 9 1/2 hours!!! I usually do not sleep more than 7 to 8. R they good ?
Eat yer heart out everyone
They are downright excellent - probably better than most folk without OSA
The Resmeds will nearly always show some HI number due to how they record their data - very good !
DSM
xPAP and Quattro std mask (plus a pad-a-cheek anti-leak strap)
