If you've installed over your old 2003 without a backup image of your hard drive, it may be impractical to try to uninstall 2007 using the uninstall function. You may lose your old email, contacts, calendar settings. It's my understanding that it's not easy to go back. (Correct me if I'm wrong, please.)

On the other hand, when I first started using 2007, I hated it. But as I got used to it, I realized it is really much better in all sorts of ways.
If it's just about not knowing where all the functions are in the menus, give it a few more months. The new layout grows on you, and the old key commands still work.

I just got a new lap-top with the dreaded Vista on it, spent days uninstalling Office, word Norton 360, and getting the software I wanted running. Got Encore Pro running, it went through 5 installs before it started and worked, Vista is bloatware trash, but I'm adapting. Jim

At least I can almost do all I can with XP Pro, it just takes longer.

Nope. New zippy laptop came pre-installed.

I need to have the same desktop configuration as work so I can share documents seamlessly between remote location and work locations. I probably WOULD love 2007, but right now, while caring for my father during his terminal illness, it's not high on my priority scale to learn a new program. I just need to get my work done remotely.

Next order of business - setting up Skype so I can connect Dad with two relatives who are two sick themselves to come visit and say goodbye. One has Skype, one doesn't, but has grandchildren and great grandchildren whom I know can help.

Cheers,
B.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

Jim,

About the time you get "adapted", Windows 7 will be on the market. (Beta is available now)

I'm going to avoid VIsta (or anything else that follows) for as long as I possibly can. I have extra (legal/purchased) copies of XP SP2 stored away for future use.
