Drats data lost

Post by moonbeam » Sat Jan 24, 2009 2:34 pm

First time travel with CPAP . The first night Islept pretty well away from
home. Second night not so lucky. I decided to check and maybe change
something for comfort and the Blasted machine was set at CPAP 15_ _ _
and I had it set to Auto 6.5 before I left for several nights. Egad good thing
I didn't blow my brains out , as I don't do well with high pressures.
Did the machine change itself at high altitude while in flight or what? Anyway changed it back to norm for me .
Now I am home and what to check my data and I am only getting the last days
of my trip. Evidently I took the Cpap day off by changing back to auto.
Drats I would have liked to known the results of the mistake.
So evidently Encore only keeps track of one mode at a time. One reason
for lost data . Ya Think.

I am not trying a pressure of 15 may try the CPAP mode tho.
Just thought I share my experience with you.

Sorry your lost your data. Can't figure out why your machine settings changed like that--never heard of a machine doing that. And, I've changed my settings with no data loss, so I don't think that would have cause you to lose your data. Mystery to me, as well!

Moonbeam you never told us what your prescribed pressure is. Just that your machine was set to 15 and you never slept better. But that you don't do good at high pressures. All which seem to contradict each other.

I don't think it's likely the machine changed by itself or bc of altitude. Changing pressure or mode has never deleted data for me.

Turning your machine on & off too often with the card inserted can lead to loss of detailed daily data.

Do you turn your machine on to dry your hose by any chance?
