Re: Features OFF
I thought that info was an important part of my profile. I spent soooooo much time looking for a bed. I ended up with the Sleep Number bed instead of the Tempurpedic basically because at the Sleep Number store someone came to help me immediately. No one ever did at Tempurpedic. If some one were looking for a new bed I would say that the adjustable foundation is the most important thing, and originally I had no intention of getting one. I can prop myself up according to how congested (or whatever) I am.
My AHI was 2.7 (down) but my leak rate was 27 (up). I think I'm making progress.
How's the nose?

Re: Features OFF
Well, I didn't get any attention the few places I had walked into....though I never tried a Sleep Number store, even though there was one near where I lived at the time. But, since I wasn't getting any help in store...I turned my research to word of mouth and online. And, the idea of adjustableness of the Sleep Number bed appealed to me. There was a quite a split between co-workers that got Sleep Number and co-workers that got Tempurpedic. My aunt had tried Tempurpedic, but was returning it...and had talked about trying the Sleep Number next, but found the bed too high for her liking especially with her shoulder problems. Though I suppose if I had to do it over again, I should've gotten an adjustable foundation.
I suppose I envisioned that I could get a second bed somewhere down the road (and since during a move, I had disposed of my guest bed....and there was always the idea that I should replace it. But, since getting rid of it...my parents have never had the impulse to visit, probably because they would no where to sleep....)
For the first while after I got the bed...and after figuring out what my pressure should be (at first it was 30, but I was sore in the morning...so I thought lowering it was the adjustment I needed to make. Since this is how I would feel if I slept on a bed that was too firm.)....I was sleeping through the night without interruption. But, it didn't last.
Of course, losing that great job and now working for much less pay....it might be a while before I can consider the 'dream' sleep number bed. My sleep number varies a little bit. It is usually a 40, though some nights I use 35 and other nights I'll use 45....depends on how my back is feeling and position. Lately 45.
Though now that I think of it, my position has become affected by CPAP...perhaps I need a longer hose.
The nose is still sore. Especially the cold air hitting it as I walked into work this morning. I'm tired and miserable, because I'm not allowed to use my CPAP until the infection is dealt with. I guess I'm contemplating padacheek, now that I see there is more than one nosebridge pad style (don't know why I didn't scroll the page before)....though now I need two different styles, since I just won a FF mask. (don't have it yet, but nobody outbid my bid of the opening amount last night).
